How to send me your
picture by Email ?
(Due : Thursday October 9)
If you haven't scanned your picture yet, contact
me to set up an appointment. I am on Campus everyday.
I want only you on the picture, if your are with
some friends, you have to removed them ! To do that, you need to use Adobe
Photoshop (Anderson Lab B13). Open your picture file, use the "Marquee
tool" to select only your face, copy the area selected and paste it
into a new document. (It's the same thing we done in class with the part
of the sky (clouds)).
If your picture file has not an .GIF or .JPG
extension (format), you have to convert it to this format. To do that,
use the Photoshop command "Export" which allow you to save your
file as a different format, then choose "Gif" format and save
this new file on your floppy disk.
To send it to me by Email, you have to attached
your picture file to an Email. To do that, Open Netscape Mail, Click on
"To Mail", First put your Email address on the "Mail to
:" field, after that, click on "Attachment", Click on "Attach
File", select the A: drive, click on your picture file, click on "Open",
click on "OK". Please specify your name in the Email message
text area. Now, send it. Check your New mail to see if you received it
with the file attached. If it's ok, do the same and this time send it to
me.
